Season 3 – Episode 7: From Winter to Spring

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

The weather is slowly letting up in Chicago and that means we don’t have to wear to many layers anymore. I was finally able to pull something out of my wardrobe that had color. I have been wanting to wear more color like tell others to. I find it to be a little hard because I have to find things of color that are actually in my size. So I took a stab at it and thought what color do I have in my wardrobe that is so bright I might be able to be seen from the moon… have you guessed yet? I found this pink skirt in the back of my drawer I got a while ago from forever 21 that still had tags on it. From there I thought it would be nice to do a full pink look after I found this pink top also in the back of my drawer. Putting them together was just the cherry on top of the cake.

Now after putting up with the disaster of trying to find something to wear I realized. . . Its so chilly out in Chicago right now I can’t have bare legs I will definitely  freeze. So right then and there I realized that tights would be a good contrast to all of the pink that I decided to wear I also thought a good pair of pumps would make this look be a little more appropriate for the weather.

I like to think that I was making color work for me and my body shape and also what my lifestyle is. I am not the biggest fan of pink but I couldn’t help but gravitate toward these two pieces while I was trying to decide what to wear. If you haven’t been able to wear color this winter check out my post here on tips I gave and use all the time to wear colors in the colder seasons. Wearing this pink ensemble made me feel more girly then I really am. These colors really did make a difference to how I felt wearing this. Hopefully my outfit of the day inspires you to add a little color to your life and wardrobe.

Until Next Time
