Season 7 - Episode: 10 - Collard Green Wraps (My New Favorite Recipe)

Updated: Feb 24

Hello All!

So we meet again but this time in a different way. Im not talking fashion or clothes etc today Im talking the next best thing...FOOD. If you follow me on social media via Instagram you would know that I have fallen IN LOVE with cooking during quarantine. There were so many days that I stayed up in the middle of the night cooking or baking. (I will definitely do a baking post next) but recently I went to a health food restaurant and had collard green wraps but they are about $15 just for one and that was my first and last time going in that place lol. It is ridiculous how expensive eating healthy is and really sad... don't get me started on the food desserts in urban city etc. But I digress.

After eating the collard green wrap from the restaurant I just knew that I could make one better for half the price and tastier in my onion AND I think I did just that! This was soo filling and still gave me a lot of energy even after eating because my biggest issue I have when eating is feeling like I want to take a nap after eating and this wrap doesn't do that. Here is what you need and the steps.

INGREDIENTS

Large Collard Greens

Hummus (I chose this hummus which is my favorite)

Sliced Dill Pickles

Sliced Onions

Sliced Peppers (I used green and red)

Cilantro

Thinly sliced cucumbers

A splash of Apple Cider Vinegar

Step 1) Make sure your collard greens are clean (of course) and take the hummus or spread of your choice and spread it evenly.

Step 2) With all your thinly sliced veggies place them how ever you want. I did peppers first, then cucumbers, onions, pickles and to top it off with cilantro and a splash of apple cider vinegar.

Step 3) Wrap it like a burrito and enjoy it. (The easier way to wrap this would be taco style/hot dog style. just do it the long way.. trust me or else it will get messy)

Step 4) Enjoy!
